As 2020 came to a close, the fitness and weight loss category on iOS in Latin America saw varying degrees of user engagement and download trends. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how the top apps in this sector performed during the fourth quarter of the year.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a slight decline in downloads, starting the quarter with 23K and ending with 16K. Its revenue showed a similar downward trend, from $37K to $27K, while weekly active users peaked at 340K in early November before dropping to 308K in early December, and then rebounding to 359K by the end of the month.

Bending Spoons Apps ApS's 30 Day Fitness - Home Workout also saw a decrease in downloads, from 5K to 6K, and a gradual decline in revenue, ending the quarter at around $11K. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 53K in early October and dropping to 47K by mid-December before rising slightly to 47K in the final week of 2020.

Zwift: Ride and Run had relatively stable revenue, hovering around $11K to $13K throughout the quarter. Downloads for Zwift showed some variability, with a notable increase to 372 in the week leading up to Christmas. The app's weekly active users remained fairly consistent, with a slight increase from 2K to 2K from the start to the end of the quarter.

Freeletics: Workouts & Fitness saw its revenue fluctuate, starting the quarter at $14K and spiking to $19K in the final week. Downloads followed an upward trend, from 3K in late September to over 4K in the last week of December. Weekly active users showed a modest increase from 27K to 28K over the same period.

Finally, MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter observed a decline in both downloads and revenue, with downloads decreasing from 13K to 8K and revenue from $11K to $9K by the year's end. Weekly active users saw a significant dip from 491K to 376K in late December, but ended on a high note with an increase to 451K.
